hello, just wanted to know how hard it is to change from a cd writer to a dvd writer,doing it my self of course?

Very easy! If you are replacing your existing drive, just connect the wires from it to the same locations/sockets on the DVD writer.

All you need to do is check the jumper locations for "Slave" "Master" or "Cable Select" and set your replacement drive`s jumpers to the same setting.
