Page 1 of EBAY..Sooo Slow! Any suggestions?

For the past week now, i have all sorts of problems getting on to EBAY from my home PC. Pages keep timing out, or they take forever (and i mean forever!) to load up ect.. I am on NTL broadband at home, and most of the other web sites i visit seem ok, but EBAY is becoming a no go zone just lately because of the hassle to log on.I can visit the site all day on my works crappy BT provider, 56k modem, but its no good when am at home on my PC. Anyone else had this trouble or know what the problem could be?

A mate of mine had the same problem. Have u had a previous account suspending or pending investigation?
He had his old account suspended and his new account he can only access it from other computers and not his own. I think it might be something to do with them banning his ip address on their server or something

Have you got cookies enabled for eBay?

Not sure about suspended accounts with regard to what they do to your access permission. I know one of my mates was banned and his address blacklisted on eBay because he put his friend up for sale on eBay with a starting bid of £1,000,000. As soon as they realised he was banned for life.

I doubt it`ll help much but a mate of mine on NTL is having the same problem

I find eBay slow as well especially on IE6, I`m running Zone Alarm Pro and my ADSL router blocks the ads on eBay`s site so that might slow things down. But on the other hand if I browse to eBay on Mozilla Firefox the site appears in half the time it takes IE! Your guess is as good as mine!
