Where did this movie come from - did you copy it from an original DVD? If so, what software and settings did you use?

Pop the `DVD` into your PC and have a look at it in Windows Explorer. Does it actually look like a DVD, i.e. a folder called VIDEO_TS with .VOB, .BUP and .IFO files in it?

Have you put the files in the right place?

Select DVD Video and drag all the files into the Video_TS folder.

Spookily I have the same burner as you, and a Compacks DVD player too - my DVD backups play perfectly.

That`ll be the VIDEO_TS folder (it`s case sensitive isn`t it?).

You`re probably right, but it`s still the only folder called VIDEO_TS that comes up if you pick DVD Video in the Nero menu! The other being AUDIO_TS.

I think he`ll work it out ;)
