Now that's what I call feeling old

Had to happen eventually. The 'Now that's what I call Music' series of compilation albums releases it's 100th edition this Friday (Not including the throwaway albums NTWIC Christmas, Rock etc). The BBC have put together a short but informative article detailing the process of putting the albums together, which also confirms what most of us have probably suspected since the first edition - After the first 6 tracks on disc 1 it's all filler, and disc 2 is packed out with artists the studios want to promote.

I wonder if it'll get much further, with most people streaming what's the need for a compilation album when you just need a compilation playlist?

Now I'm off to moan about the state of modern music!

I wouldn't mind picking up mp3 versions of the early ones...
