It certainly is! The crowd reaction when they first lit up at the start of the concert was magical (sounds cheesy but it really was). I managed to catch it on video...

Oh, and when they played God Put a Smile on Your Face it sounded incredible - with the roof shut (due to pouring rain outside) at the Principality Stadium the acoustics were amazing

Saw the Marillion Weekend at Leicester De Montford Hall. They did a similar thing with finger lights. The band knew nothing about it but everyone was ready to set them off at a specific lyric in the track Go. Absolutely stunning weekend. Then saw Maiden and Jeff Lynne's ELO a few weeks later.

Who needs lighters now? :) Well smokers probably...

Always remember years ago taking a lighter to a Prince concert for Purple Rain, they do get hot eventually and it's not a short song!

Sleaford Mods, supported by Nachthexen.

I had listened to some Nachthexen on their Bandcamp page, sounded quite good, all girl punk/synth rock. Live however, they may have suffered from support act so sound not set right, but was all a bit of a dirge, could have been playing the same song over again and again :( shame.

Sleaford Mods however were awesome. Jason doesn't stop dancing, walking, mincing, gesticulating, screaming, shouting, singing and making other odd noises :)

Andrew however, presses a button on his laptop to start a song, takes a few steps back, and nods his head to the music while drinking a bottle of Becks, song ends, he approaches the laptop, looks at his band mate, let's him have a swig from a bottle of water, presses button again, takes a few steps back!

Andrew is so charismatic though it works :)

Reminds me a bit of seeing Kraftwerk, and for their first encore the curtains opened to four robots moving around to a pre-recorded track. ;)

Was only for one song though.

Phil Collins at the Royal Albert Hall (sound is always great there) last Sunday, finally! After he cancelled the previous one.

Something Happened on the Way to Heaven is my most favourite song atm.

:)

I'm sure most people know he doesn't drum anymore, but his son does and he's goooood. Was a great gig, he has a great backing band like most artists over a certain age who were successful and can afford one.
