I bought it back in the day but didn't really play it to death, I was interested in the two big singles and that was probably it at that point in time...

The extras are mainly of interest to Prince fans, who want to hear lots of different versions. Prince wrote a lot of songs years before they appeared on an album sometimes, I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man was originally recorded in 1979! It's not the best version, but it's cool to hear as a fan how it grew into the album version.
It's definitely one of his best albums, even if at times it can seem a mix of very different tracks without an underlying theme. But the best way to enjoy it is still the amazing concert movie, I think, followed by the album itself.

I can't think of that many actually, maybe Alphabet Street, Kiss, Let's Go Crazy, Computer Blue, You've Got The Look, Hot Thing off the top of my head. Mostly the longer versions are the album versions.
You do get the odd track every now and again that has about 5 or 6 different versions or mixes, but they aren't really longer.
It's an amazing no-expense-spared vinyl box set though.
