Page 1 of Prestige.... Worth it ?

i`m about to go Prestige, & don`t know whether or not to just stay at level 70 ?

main 2 reasons..

1.. Prestige is worthless now because of the hackers, & this is ground home by the fact that last night while playing, 3 seperate players in 3 seperate games PM`d me asking if i wanted to be 10th prestiege,  i mailed them back telling them how usseles prestige had become cos of all the 12yr old noobs hacking the .info files to rank up...  they didnt reply ;)

2.. My Guns i worked Hard for these guns... & dont wanna start over...

so,  is there anything to be gained by starting over, are there any "usefull" unlocks after you hit prestige ? (ie, weapons etc)  & what are you guys gonna do (are have allready done, since you guys have more hours in than me, i`m assuming most of you have allready been faced with this issue)

i`ve just gone past level 70 so will prestige when i`ve accumulated enough points to
do so. not sure how many more i have to get as there isn`t a "target" score after 70?

tbh, i`m not overly bothered with the gits who cheat to "up" their score... that`s their prerogative.
i`ve got mine legitimately so that`s all that matters. what does **** me off is the cheating gits
who use elevator glitches and the like to get kills that they shouldn`t be getting.

i`ve also come across more and more people who are taking a stupid amount of ammo to kill?
dunno if there`s any cheats out there which is allowing this to happen?

I don`t think I`ll bother with Prestige purely as I will rarely play it now, so can`t be bothered losing all my guns.


I thought all you got was the ability to use the "The Prestige" callsign and also got an extra guns slot (been so long since I played I can`t remember what you call them :)  ).

well, i went and did it. hit the prestige button and i`m now back to being cannon fodder
for n0obs and l33tz alike.

not sure whether the posh cross and prestige banner was worth it tbh... nevermind, it`ll
be "fun" unlocking all of those guns again :/

i`ll probably not bother with prestige, i was looking at my "time played" & i`ve still played less than 3 days, only play for 20-40 mins a day, (more at weekends) so it`d take ages to get the guns back etc...

managed to get meself back upto level 13 with a couple of hours play yesterday.
once i`d got past level 4, the "goodies" came flooding back thick and fast.
currently using the SCAH rifle with grenade launcher and one of the sniper rifles
with acog sights. must admit i am still quite enjoying it!!

managed a couple of first places in team deathmatch with 27 kills 4 deaths and 24 kills
and 7 deaths (playing afghan and derail using the sniper rifle).

what? besides winning more matches ;)

try changing your weapons... i started using the barret sniper rifle on afghan, derail, rundown and
one other that i can`t remember the name of. you`ll soon rack up the points with headshots, one
hit kills, long shots and also hitting "challenges" like 25 kills etc.

it`s suprising how quickly the points mount up. i was getting between 2000 and 3000 points per
game.

I wasn`t aiming to get higher, more just completing the challenges out of boredom to make it more interesting so was speccing up each gun that I had and getting all the kill requirements for them.

This includes things like getting helicopters with different rocket launchers etc etc.

Also I was changing the Perks and finishing off through them aswell which gets quite a lot of bonus points.  I actually had quite a lot of fun with throwing knives and got game winning kill with throwing knife on first attempt (on a team deathmatch).

Also playing the bomb games (search and destroy and whatever it`s called) are great for racking up kills as you get way more than you would in a normal game.  Just prepare to get angry when your team mates stand there and watch as you get killed planting bombs or are just useless at protecting etc :D

I`ve got all the perks (IIRC) and got to the `pro` levels on most of them already.
I`ve unlocked many of the extra items on a lot of the weapons as well (except the FMJ kills - can`t work out when one of those counts?!)

Need to go through "barracks" and check out what I`ve missed. I`ve got 85% completion on it, which isn`t too bad.
