Hi i am after some help with the video connections. what is the best way of connecting up my system thru my amp or individually to my tv. i.e dvd svhs to back of tv or in to the amp and out of the amp to the telly? i am ok with the speaker connections but cannot seem to get i picture if i coonect everything to the amp and then one lead to the tv.

Forget video switching via the amp, despite what the experts say : the only people who really benefit are those with very high-end kit (I`m assuming you`re a budget person like the majority of us !).
Connect your DVD player directly to your TV via SCART (RGB is best, if your TV can handle it : most can), and your DVD player directly to your amplifier for audio.
