Save your money & buy a `Mico`. I had the Pioneer 444 & had problems with it. The `Mico` is part Panasonic anyway. Last I heard the`Mico` was available for £89-00 from Sainsburys. It is the ONLY player to get RAVE reviews because of it`s quality of picture etc. I t is also the only player that played all SVCDs VCDs & DVDs with correct lip sinc. It is region Free. I would never Buy Philips after two items of there`s went wrong & there `service` was second to everyones.

Can`t fault my 444 - admittedly not a `heavy` user, so may not have had a chance to experience faults that others may have, but I wouldn`t change it.
