Can pay, will pay £30 to Techtronics for a far sexier machine. Why should I buy an Aiwa for £30 less then if I dont require VCD playback? The DD decoder, extra scart and mothership connection remote surely justifies the extra cost.
ANd dont forget the threads saying the new Aiwa is based on the older LG machine! Tell me if I am wrong ...

I`m sorry but the aiwa 370 is indeed a re-badged LG, same display and everything, have you not seen one!! And your player does not have a mod chip in it at all, it`s purley a remote hack! naughty Techtronics charging you £30, you can buy the LG3350 from dabs direct for £188!!!!

Sorry..

but saying that it`s still a nice player.

LOZ.

Then feel free Preet, but where did you hear it was based on an older machine?
(oh and by the way, its the Aiwa THREE seven zero)
It`s from the same range with a NEWER firmware!
Yes, the 3350 has on board decoder, but most AV amps now have one too, so no real benefit there unless ya got 2 amps or an amp capable of taking the inputs,

And the two scarts? Thats only a pass through to allow another unit to be connected to the same scart on a TV.
Not much of a buying reason for me, as I just do that in the reverse, bad point being I need macro disable to turn the VCR on at the same time.
And the 370 does the pal 50/60 options exactly the same as the LG.

Real differences are: (LG 3350: on board decoder and Walking with Dinosaurs DVD but on some models, the firware cannot be hacked and requires a mod, MACRO can be disabled by snipping a pin invalidating the warranty)

(Aiwa 370: No decoder, no Freebie, but VCD playback capability, nicer looking chassis and as far as we know, ALL remote hackable)

Make your choice, they are both good players. :o)

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!!!
