Well I went for a non-flatscreen Panasonic 32" rather than a flat screen 28", because size does matter. If you have a look at some sets in a shop, you will see a difference, but it`s really up to you if you think you`ll be bothered by the slight curve of the non-flatscreen. I find the curve is really only noticeable when you`re sitting to the sider of the screen, and even then is not really a problem.

It`s a matter of preference. To be honest, I find flat screens a bit weird - I`m so used to curved screens that flat ones seem concave in comparison.

Had a crazy idea, you could go to somewhere like Currys and try a few out, compare them in the shop? Then buy some where online and save some money.

I got one of the Toshiba flat screens on impulse last year when I was in the local Scottish Power shop, when they had their clearout. It was still in the box but the box had been damaged so it was part of the clearout and on offer for half price. I was not in the market for a new TV but it was too good to miss and I had heard only good things about the Toshiba TV`s. When we first set it up and started to use it, It looked a little wierd (just like when I got my first widescreen TV) but within a couple of days I was completely at home with it and I don`t think I would want to go back to a curved tube again.
