have a pacific 750 with macro off and ntsc/pal video.when i play the region1 movie through the video player all is fine.when i try to make myself a back-up onto video all is fine until i play back the video then the picture is black and white and liney.is this because the tape is pal?cheers.

When you say a PAL/NTSC video do you mean it is PAL with NTSC playback? If this is the case then it will only record in PAL so you will have to make sure that the DVD is set to PAL (50) out, assuming that it will support it that is. Steve..
