i`ve got a sc2500 too, but don`t suffer this problem (though i know there are plenty of 2500 owners who do)

sadly, i thinkn it`s just a case of blind luck if your player works straight out of the box!

I`ve read a lot of posts regarding the Scan 2500, as I`ve been mulling over buying it as a second player. However, reading about all of the problems people have had has put me off a great deal. Sure, there might be one or two niggles in a player, but these seem to have been pretty major, requiring a big firmware update to right them (and, unless I`m mistaken, some people are still having a few glitches).

Shouldn`t this have been spotted and fixed before the release of the player? It`s a great shame that the player`s like this as it had everything I was looking for.

What about people who buy this player, who don`t have
access to the web or can`t burn the firmware to CD in
order to update their drives??

GET A GRIP scan, you don`t release any hardware until
it has been FULLY tested.

How many people would buy a car, only to be told a few days
after they bought it to take it back so they can upgrade it in
order for it to work??????

The problems with it aren`t bad, unless you spend a lot of time maneuvering through the extras, you won`t notice the remote control one.

That aside, I`ve had one for a while now, and since I can`t burn a CD I can`t upgrade the firmware.

Nilesh - Will Scan send me it on a CD?
