I have just bought a sony davs300 and there isnt any scart plug on the rear of the machine. They have supplied an S-Video lead which has a scart adpter with it but the picture is worse than when i had my Alba 103!!
I have an S-Video input on my TV, but its at the front of my set. I dont really want to have this lead coming out of the front of my set so does anyone have any advice?

Check your TV user-manual. It`s quite likely that one of your SCART sockets is S-video compatible. You may have to press a key or 2 on the TV remote control to switch the TV such that the right SCART & input mode is selceted first If you`re still stuck, let the group know the make/model of your TV.
