Page 1 of Has anyone else had this problem ?

I have a Sony DAVS500 system and whilst 99.9% of the time it works flawlessly every now and again the picture is interrupted by a brief red flash, it`s almost like an extra frame in the movie that happens at the same place each time but I cannot freeze on it so I`m guessing the player is skipping. As the disks play OK on another player I`m guessing it`s not the disk themselves causing the problem. Has anyone else noticed this on their system ??

It`s not due to layer changes as it sometimes happens 2 or 3 times in succession and not all disks are affected, so far I`ve noticed it on A Knights Tale & The Princess Bride.

That sounds well dodgy, I`d get that looked at!
