I`m looking into getting either a Phillips or an LG, does anyone recommend a model of either of these players.

philips 711 , when hacked plays anything you can throw at it, except Mp3`s, macro not disabled. Model 712, plays Pal / NTSC out of the box, & also plays Mp3 discs.
