Anyone had bad experiences with the Pioneer DV-444 player ?

I have one that has gone back. I discovered it sometimes crashes on SVCDs & there is no search by minutes, to allow you to resume where it crashed. It says it has this function but on most SVCDs it won`t operate. Also it has no zoom. If you look in this forum under "Pioneer 444 & 545. Same as H&B 5415S" you will notice the machines appear to be identical. I hope to see one very soon & if it has what the Pioneer does not, but is as good I`ll get one of those. Both Are made in China. If you only play DVDs & don`t require zoom. Then the Pioneer is perfect.

My mate couldn`t play my copy of Jeepers Creepers R1, apparently it doesn`t work with Pioneers. I don`t know how many other titles upcoming from MGM will have this problem.

Yeah, just tried my R1 copy of Jeepers Creepers. Menus all play but won`t play the film!!
