cdamedia (Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 10th February 2002, 11:35

Hi guys
has anyone had any dealings with the harmony vdr recorder {dvd or video to vcd/svcd copier available from ringos.co.uk
i was wondering what the quality of the finished cd is like it seems a quick way of recording videos, dvd`s, camcorder tapes, tv progs, videos etc etc to vcd or svcd
any comments would be appreciated not cheap at £500 but could be quick and useful if quality is ok

I`d personally stick to using your PC to create SVCDs, and ensure your DVD player is capable of playing the format.

VCD format is not much better than VHS, whereas SVCDs are a slight improvement.
