what is this dvd player like and can it play RCE DISC`S

I just bought the 551 from Richer Sounds. I`ve not had a chance to test it but RS said it will play RCE DVDs. Apparently you can only play them when set to Region 1 but I`ve seen a few reports of it working on By Pass mode.
It`s a good DVD player. Remote control is alot better than some of the more expensive ones I`ve seen. And the player looks good. Easy to hack aswell.
