Which DVD recorder?

crispy (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 16th August 2008, 22:23

Hi all,

Just looking to buy a DVD recorder for backing-up from my Humax and been considering a Sony GX350 or a Panny EZ27/28, which are going for around £100.

Any suggestions which I should go for, or whether I should be looking at something else?

My only other experience of a DVD recorder was an Acoustic Solutions one with built-in HDD and I wasn`t too impressed, which is why I ended up with the Humax...but I still need a DVD recorder...

...any advice welcomed..

Cheers

have a look at this post
I would try and get something with a hard drive built in, its the best way to edit a recording.
I`ve never had anything made by Acoustic Solutions, so don`t know much about them.
Richer Sound`s have (or had) some older model Pannys with hard drives for around an extra £30 on top of the £100 you have as a budget
I would say, spend an extra £30 to £40, it will be worth the extra money in the long run
