Sony Bravia 32U3000 - Any good?
Am in the market for a 32" LCD TV, and have got the opportunity to buy a Sony Bravia 32U3000 for £449.
I know nothing about LCD TVs, and just wondered if anyone else knew a bit more than me, and if its worth the £449.
Cheers :)

Probably best not to ask bowfer. ;)

DVD Reviewer News Hound
Gets a fine review, summed up as follows.
Highs
● Vivid colour
reproduction
● Three HDMI v1.3 inputs
● Plenty of features
● Friendly user interface and setup
Lows
● Some 'edge shimmer' with fast
movement
● Lacklustre audio
● No AV-input buttons on the handset
The bit that would concern me, and bothered me about Sonys when I was looking myself, was the `lacklustre audio` bit.
That seems to come up a lot.
OK if you plan to use an external audio source, but I don`t.
So I wanted one that got top marks for sound too, which mine did/does.

RE: Sony Bravia 32U3000 - Any good?
TBH I had an LG 32LC56 on order, but had been let down by the company, and this was just £49 more so I think it`s as good as anything for the money. Certainly don`t shop for brands, just price :D
How about this?
Cracking reviews and a three year warranty for around the same dosh.
Gets a `best buy` review in `What plasma and LCD`.
Looks better than the Sony too, in my opinion.

LOL
Thats the company that Ive just cancelled my order with because they are shoddy. Very bad communications, and no apology for no contact since 12 November to say they were out of stock or order status. They only answer the phones when they can be @rsed and didn`t seem to care when he told me that my order might not be fulfilled.
Good price, but absolutely shocking Customer Services.
If anyone knows of any good companies then shout out - i know you lot can be as fussy as me ;)
Pixmania.com are doing the Samsung LE32R87 for under £470, delivered.
In stock too.
Dunno about the three year guarantee that your `dodgy` retailer is offering though.
I can recommend Pixmania, I`ve bought several cameras from them.

RE: Sony Bravia 32U3000 - Any good?
TBH I thought the 3 year warrantee thing was good, as they were offering that on the LG too, but its only good if they can supply the goods. Plus it seems very strange because those warrantees are around £150-£175 from other retailers. It smacked to me of a scam like that Beko 32" LCD for £100 from last month. I may be wrong, but better to be safe than sorry.....
I`ll have a look at Pixmania. Cheers for that :)

It`s the LE32R88, not the R87.
As far as I can tell, no difference in spec.
So if the R87 gets a cracking review, ditto for the R88.
It`s just different model designations for different suppliers.
