A Question for Rob E Taylor!!!!!

gingerone (Elite) posted this on Wednesday, 19th December 2001, 14:39

A quick question Rob, could I use a standard composite lead inplace of a coaxial cable if it has the same connectors?
Would this give me the digital signal to my amp that I require until I can get a proper coaxial cable?
Cheers!

Yes - any good electrical connection will sound perfect.
I`ve used £30 digital cables and half of a 99p audio phono lead I had knocking around - they sound the same as the signal is digital.

Should I even bother buying a coaxial cable or should I just use the composite lead?
I think I will stick with the composite and be damned, cheers Rob you`re positively a fountain of knowledge!!!
