Will my DVD player be able to play on my existing US television when I change the code
to play UK region 2 DVDs?

If the tv dvd`s are home recordings then yes,as home recorders do not add region coding to discs.

If they are official commercial dvd`s then it all depends whether your player is being enabled for multiregional playback.

Region code hacks normally enable playback of all regions

Are you in the US?
What is your player?
What discs are you trying to play?

Yes, I`m in the USA. I have a Samsung VR 325. I am trying to play UK commercial DVDs. I have a code for the DVD player which I am told will enable me to play Region 2 DVDs from the UK. However if I can play the DVDs will I need a multiregion or UK TV or will it playback on my US television?

If your TV is multistandard then they should play fine.
If it`s NTSC only then you`d need either a converter or a compatible TV.

First thing to do is run a disc. If it displays, problem solved.
Next, into the Setup menu of the DVD player with no disc inside. Check there if there`s an option for "PAL/NTSC/MULTI" and if there is, select NTSC as that`s the US TV type.
Sometimes that forces the player to convert the signal to the preferred type.

If it still doesn`t display but appears to be playing then a converter or different TV is needed.
