Page 1 of dav-s300 vs dav-s500

I`m thinking of getting one of the above and can get the dav-s300 for £420 from technotronics or the dav-s500 for £499 from multiregion magic or premieravcentre.co.uk.Both players include multiregion chipping

First question which (if any) would you get?

Which retailer would you reccomend?

I don,t know if this helps but I have heard both of these systems with the iron giant in currys.
I felt the dav-s300 sounded tinny and the sub sounded awful(to me anyay).
However the dav-s500 sounded quite good, much richer, more natural and the bass sounded good as well.

Definitely get the 500 .From reviews I have read, the 300 does break up when pushed and the sub is under-powered. All of the faults with the 300 they corrected in the 500.
As for the supplier, if you look in the retailer reviews forum you will find horror stories about Techtronics, even though they are one of the cheapest around.
I bought the DAV-S800 from unbeatable.co.uk a couple of weeks ago. Have a look on there as it was ordered and delivered in 3 days!!!

Do make sure you go multiregion - it`ll cost you more to have it done afterwards.
