Pioneer DV575 - BRILLIANT progressive scan universal player. Simple hack for making it multi region :)

Highly recommended - have it as a part of my Home Theater at the mo and performs flawlessly.

Can not trace that model must be a older unit. I have seen a Pioneer 969
any comments on this unit as it has all the bits on I require.

Thank you

575 has been discontinued! Brilliant player though.

969 is bloody good - but likely to be expensive. Check this out http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000F5CWC4/interactiveda96-21?tag=myrev09-21 This is the 696... should fit your bill.

One piece of advice though - I know the 575 had a nice hack - this one might not, so make sure you can find the hack online before you buy this thing.

Towards the working and quality - I can attest that they are brilliant. I use mine as the CD player as well - and it is effing brilliant - havent felt the need to buy a standalone CD player.

Cheers
