Blu-ray DVDs are they region coded??

Hi there

Can anyone tell me if Blu-ray DVDs are region coded I have read several articles that say they aren`t region coded, can anyone tell me if this is true or not?

Yes, unfortunately they`re coded:

A/1 - North America, Central America, South America, Koreas, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.

B/2 - Europe, Greenland, French territories, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

C/3 - India, Nepal, Mainland China, Russia, Central and South Asia.

Come on if Sony is releasing a machine to play Blue Ray then of course the discs will be region locked - Sony at its best

Apparently some are and some aren`t. Have a look here:

It looks like Disney and Fox are the main culprits.
