Page 1 of SONY DAVDZ410 Vs PHILIPS HTS6510

HI,

I have seen both the above and was wondering if anyone had either and could give me there thoughts... I know they are different (5.1 Vs 2.1) but was wondering if there would be better sounds etc for movies on one.

I have a 13ft sq lounge and like the copmpact design of the philips but if sound will suffer I will go with Sony.

Philips have had some strange ideas with speakers recently, but it`s not to my liking. DVD was made to produce 5.1 sound. So why go for a 2.1 system? And I don`t care what the blurb says, it won`t sound the same as full 5.1 audio.

I don`t like that Sony system you mention either, because of the tall speakers. Maybe that`s what you want?

The DZ111 is nice, but I looked at the specs and its is not as good as the DAVDZ410 on paper.... the other thing is I can only buy from Currys as I am buying with vouchers.

Or what about the pioneer dcs360.....?

I have read that the PIONEER DCS360 is not that great, has anyone got one?

Re philips. I am in the trade, I will not have philips on the shop floor again. Way to unreliable. Trust me. It will break
