Page 1 of Need HELP!! Problem with Sony HTK215 DTS.....

Hello all,

I`m pretty new on the DVD/Home Cinema scene so please bear with me on this one!

Has anyone experienced/dealt with the following problem.....

I recently bought a Sony HTK215 surround sound system and am having problems getting the DTS to work.

I have Little Nicky on DVD and tried that in my player (as it has DTS). When I selected DTS on the audio options no sound came through the amp/speakers. I then went back to the menu and selected DD5.1 and everything worked fine. I did notice though, that when I selected DTS the amp flashed "UNLOCK" on its display - what does this mean?? There is no mention of such a message in the manual and I am having great difficulty in reaching the Sony Customer Support line.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

I would guess that you need to setup the DVD player (not just the disc) to output DTS. Of course how you do this depends on what DVD player you have...
