got a philips dvdr 610 which i have had for a couple of years now but for the last day or two when i record a program when i watch it it keeps freezing up is it on its way out or do it need a dvd cleaner?

Certainly you should try a DVD Lens Cleaning Disc. It may cure the problem. Alternatively, is it all discs or just one particular DVD+RW disc that you use a lot? Could be that the disc needs chucking and some new ones purchased. They don`t go on for as long as advertisers suggest.

i have had to lob 2 dics out now in the last couple of days but what i recorded on friday night was allright so i will try a dvd cleaner. would the lastest update be any good?
