I think the best option is to get a DVD recorder with a RGB input to be connected to the sky+.
Then, my question as a complete newby in DVD recorders, which DVDr should I buy ?
I could spend up to 160 pounds, should it be with HDD ?
My goal is to record some football games and transfer them to the PC to be processed (Xvid, ...), but i would like to get a quality source.
Best regards and thanks in advance :)

A Pioneer or Panasonic with HDD is more than £160 but both offer the flexible recording mode and editing features you need to get the best possible quality with a HDD-DVD dub. Most of the cheapies don`t come with an FR mode so you either guess the quality or fill more than one disc
