I have a multi region chipped Tosh 100, but if I try to record a R1 DVD onto VHS the colour going light & dark. I have been told this is MACROVISOIN and that it can be disabled. Can anybody tell me how to do this?

That sounds more like an R1 being output at 60Hz and your video not recording it problem. MViz usually manifests itself as a lightening and darkening of the picture.
The Tosh doesn`t convert NTSC coded discs to the 50Hz Pal picture you would need to record. (unless you have a multi-standard video recorder that is)
