TOSHIBA 210SE MULTIREGION DVD PLAYER & RCE DISCS

CGODS (Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 16th October 2001, 08:00

I am thinking about purchasing a Toshiba 210SE Multiregion DVD player, I have heard about compatability problems with RCE discs. (Richer Sounds website).

Does anyone know if the new Toshiba 210SE Multiregion DVD players can play these discs?

Hello there CGODS, I am on sticky ground here as I am not aloud to advertise my self on the forums here. Oh well here goes. (sorry mods just trying to help the chap)

I can not speak for Richers but if you got a Tosh 210 auto select 1-6 from Sevenoaks Sound & Vision you would use this trick to get round the RCE prob.

Load non RCE R1 disc. Allow unit to recognise the region, then remove disc (do not press stop) and replace with the RCE disc. Press play and enjoy.

I hope this helps and once again sorry mods.

All the best,

Andrew.

I think it also depends on who does the mutliregion modification. As well as Richer, try techtronics and multiregionmagic

I would guess that eveyone except from Tech do the same type of mod .... insert a true Region 1 disk to set the player to region 1 then you can play the RCE disk straight after
