I have this model TV, but I`m not quite sure what you`ve done, or what you`re getting at. By "picture adjustment" do you mean the ratio selection on the ASPECT button? Usually I set that so that it says WIDE onscreen, which usually puts DVD`s in top shape. It sounds a bit like your ASPECT button needs adjusting in zoom mode. Press the button until it says ZOOM onscreen. When it does, use the coloured buttons to put the picture back to shape. You`ll see what I mean when you get there.

If you suspect something`s busted, your best bet is to contact Panasonic themselves. If there`s anything I can get you from the manual let me know, just in case you`ve lost yours. As far as I know there`s no service mode to be accessed via the remote. If you find one let me know!!

Sorry if I`ve completely misunderstood. :/
