SOUND PROBLEMS - HELP

HAS ANYONE EVER EXPERIENCED ANY INTERMITTANT SOUND PROBLEMS WHEN PLAYING DVD`S THROUGH THE COAX CONNECTION?.......I HAVE A PANASONIC RV60 DVD PLAYER AND A YAMAHA DSP X620 A.V AMP.

Kind of related, but this happened on a batch of US Sampo DVE620 players where the audio output via a coax connection went wonky. The cure ? Swap the DVD loader over !!!

Check the obvious - that the lead hasn`t come loose, etc, etc.

When you say intermittent, do you mean whilst it`s playing a disc, or just at the start. Sometimes the Yammy will mess about at the start of a new disc, or segments of a disc, if you have it set to AUTO, so that it reads the correct soundtrack.

Forgive me if i am a little ignorant...but what do you mean when you say swap the dvd loader?
The intermittant problem can usually happen anytime during the film..it`s just a single second silence.

i have checked the coax lead..it is ok. I have also tried the amp with a cd player with the coax connection and had no problems. I have also noticed that there is an intermittant problem when i play cd`s on the dvd player also...so this would point to a problem with the bit stream from the dvd player?

I have the same setup and I also have this problem. Thought it was a scratched disc at first only to find it happening on most discs.
