Page 1 of I wanna xbox 360 but need a HD TV first - please educate me!!!

Hi I recently wandered into Virgin and saw an Xbox 360. Up until this point I had said to myself that I wouldn`t be getting one as I don`t really play on my PS2 that much any more.

But after spending 5 minutes gawping at the amazing graphics of Call of Duty 2 I decided that I had to have one and told the missus that this was what I wanted for christmas

(my god this is like a diary)

Anyway, I have since been told that the graphics can only be truly appreciated on an HD ready TV. I don`t have one but am willing to get one to enjoy the spectacle of Xbox360.

So here goes - what should i be looking for, what are my options and how much is this going to hurt my bank balance?

I would be willing to pay £1000 tops i think - and as always big is best

So if you have read this far then I apologise for wasting your time - but hey - why not help me out - as you can guess I need all the help I can get :/

I would go for LCD around the 32 inch mark size wise. you should search online and other av forums for advice try http://www.avforums.com/ theres always good advice there.

:) I bought a 27" HDTV for my bedroom ( the missus wasn`t too pleased cos I`m 40 next month) to link with my XBOX 360 (which is STILL on order) for the the exact same reason as you ie Call of Duty graphics. I read somewhere on t`internet that Samsung tvs have the best response rate to provide the best picture but I am having probs with the picture quality on mine with normal Sky and DVD so be careful

I had heard the same and am looking at the 32" Samsung LCD tv (the black one) which looks the dogs. Apparently the new Sky Digital HD Box is going to be black so looks like all the TVs will go back that way too!

i`ve seen it on kelkoo at £830 - does anyone know anywhere cheaper!!!
