Are all GOODMAN DVDR300R rubbish ?
I have purchased two of these machines from TESCO over the past year and both seem
to suffer with the same troubles.
The first one worked for about a week and then refused to obey the commands or was very slow in carrying them out but finally refused even to obey the manual buttons.
So it went back to Tesco who changed it immediately......Now as we had the builders in it was not connected up for a couple of months but was taken out of the box and checked over.
This one didn`t seem to want to obey the remote unit either but we thought that it was because it was not connected to the main equipment.
It has now been connected to the system...Cable box and Televison but it will not obey the remote or the manual controls.
With the remote you switch it on after a dozen or more tries and it goes into set up mode but nothing else other than say Hello. I won`t open the disc drawer and really takes it time in shutting down.
What are the chances of getting two machines that don`t work I have all the paperwork and guarantee but can`t for the life of me fine the receipt from Tesco.
So I have a useless piece of junk....does anyone have any ideas or pointers as what the problems can be.

Goodmans products should be avoided like the plague, their build quality are rubbish and they have the feeling you would be relpacing it after 2 months due to their murky picture quality. Goodmans products are generally among the worst products on the market. The following brands should be avoided like the plague: Goodmans, Mustek, cyberhome and Bush. here are a few brands which make reliable DVD players: Panasonic, Sony, Samsung, Pioneer and Philips. Sony and Panasonic are technologically the best quality but i usually go for Panasonic due to their lower prices
