A DVD player and a minidisc player, and the combination there of.

Ok I have a few questions about a minidisc player I am thinking of getting very soon. I have my eye on the Sony MZR-700 available from Richer Sounds. If any of you could answer me these questions I would be more than pleased. Thanks anyway.

1) This player comes with a `Toslink to 3.5mm optical cable` - does this mean I can digitally record using the optical output on the back of my DVD player and the one on the minidisc?

2) Anybody have experience of this minidisc player? What do you think of it?

3) Whats the long play feature like? (MDLP)

4) Any idea how much Richer Sounds sell it for in the shop? The website prices are different as far as I can remember. I will phone anyway, but still.

Cheers m`dears

Blazingmonga,

In answer to point 1, you should be able to, I can do it with my Cyberhome N212 and a Sharp portable minidisc recorder.

Cheers
