Help in choosing a printer

jimmy.j (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 1st November 2005, 08:16

I`m on the verge of buying a new printer which will primarily be used for printing photographs, i have whittled the market down to 2 and wondered if i could have peoples opinions.
The 2 on the short list are the Lexmark P6350 and the Epson Stylus Photo RX520, or does anybody out there have any better suggestions ?????

Also is there a major difference in quality, or anything else in Thermal printing and Inkjet print as the Lexmark printer mentioned has Thermal printing.

Thanks in advance.......

Another mine field of which printers, would probalby opt for the epson as cartridges are normally cheaper and they are separate single colours, I think the lexmark puts the ink on thermal dont think its a proper thermal like the small canon photo printer. I have had a few printers just to do photos and my favourite was brother dcp 110/115/310 all in one series. It will be down to personal taste though, could do with buying one from a place you can send it back no quibble or conning pcworld into testing a couple.
