I really recommend the Panasonic SCHT530 because it can play DVD-R/RW/+R/+RW and DVD RAM, It is 600 watts in total which is pretty hefty, It comes from a leading brand so you know you will be getting top notch quality and best of all, it only costs just over £150 if you look in www.pricerunner.com or kelkoo, it is so rare to find a top brand home cinema system over 500 watts at that price, It also plays DVD Audio which adds more value to it and £50 saved.

There are home cinemas just as good but not as low priced as this.

Try a Philips LX8300SA. Plays everything (incl SACD,DIVX etc etc) and has prog scan all for £116 + delivery. Think its only 450w, but thats gotta be loud enough!!!

I just got a Medion Home Cinema system 350 watts for £59.99 at www.medionshop.co.uk
Less than £4 delivery and got it within 2 days.
Not sure if theres a multi region hack for it but I`ve got to say for less than £60, it is of really high quality.
Have a look at it, you wont be disappointed.
