hi ive got a yelo dvd which can disable macrovision but i am still not able to record on my vhs recorder.Is it my vcr or is it me?any help appreciated

It can depend on what signal you`re sending to the VCR.
If you`re trying to tape Region 1 stuff, forget it unless you have a VCR that is capable of recording NTSC material.
Similarly, if it`s Region 2 stuff, your VCR may struggle if you`re sending an S-video or RGB signal to it along the SCART - try it with composite, maybe ?
Of course, this advice is given on the understanding you`re taping stuff for personal use only, naturally.
