Page 1 of I have a Liteon DVD recorder and I am having trouble recording from my sky box??

Ok Problem: I have just bought a plasma screen, a Liteon DVD recorder and I am having trouble recording from my sky box??
I have the sky box connected to the plasma using S-VHS.
I the liteon dvd recorder connect to the Plasma using component.
I have the Sky box connected to the recorder via scart.

When I try and record on the liteon I get nothing, I can see what is being downloaded from the sky box on the plasma screen but it's just not going on the disc. Anyone help, please.

are you setting the recorder to the corresponding AV channel that the scart is attached to? And are you checking that if the Sky box is outputting RGB or Composite that the recorder is also expecting that signal
