Jaws problem on LG 3000E - Help?

The Shenk-man (Competent) posted this on Tuesday, 19th June 2001, 20:17

A strange thing happend today! A friend of mine bought Jaws and, upon getting home, played it on his LG 3000E and it played fine - for a while. During the Orca sequences the player stopped and decided it no longer wanted to play the movie.

After turning the player off and re-loading the disk the player refused to play it altogether. I tried it on my Wharfedale 750 (3rd Gen) and it played okay.

Can anyone explain this - why it played it for a while and then gave up? Could this be a pressing error or a player problem...?

Sounds like a physical problem with the player itself, if it were a software problem then the film would not have played at all. You should be okay if it`s under guarantee.

Tried it again on the Wharfedale 750 and it goes very pixilated toward the end - about the time of Quint`s speech. I think it must be a faulty pressing - or is this what`s called delamination?
