LG RC1000 VCR and DVD Recorder Combi Problems
I`ve just baught one of these but
I have one big problem
I cannot get the TV to pic up the RF OUT signal so that I can tune it to a tv station
so the tv in the front roomuses the scart but I have a tv linked in me bedroom but its only rf so it stops be watching vids or dvds in bed without the rf tuning iavailable.
I unplugged all other connections and just left rf but no luck.
If the rf is disabled theres no info in the manual how to enable it
I used to tune my TV chanel 8 to pick up my player rf signal now theres no signal anywhere to be found.
has anyone else got this problem.
I can only connect to tv via scart otherwise Im Very impressed with it
I also need to know if there is a code so that I can use the Remote Control with a JVC TV.
Thanks in advance Quickie

RE: LG RC1000 VCR and DVD Recorder Combi Problems
Hi, unfortunately as is common with a lot of dvd recorders there is no rf out signal on this model. The rf out aerial socket is purely a loop through to feed the aerial signal back to the tv. A real pain if you want to send the signal around the house. You could get round it by using a video sender or connecting it to a video via the scart that has got an rf out signal. ( i have to instal these things for a living !)

Well thats a logic answer but Im not convinced
why is it when I have the player set to a normal tv station like BBC1 it does not send a RF signal
I play a video with it that cannot be tunned via RF either :(

well no reply :o
RE: LG RC1000 VCR and DVD Recorder Combi Problems
Please check with your retailer and they will confirm this, there is no rf out signal from this unit. I`ve just looked in the manual and on page 15 it says you must have it connected to your tv by one of the methods stated, the aerial lead is not one of them. (it is only required so you can watch your terrestrial channels with the recorder connected)
RE: LG RC1000 VCR and DVD Recorder Combi Problems
Well I have contacted the suppliers
tey said I may have to use a scart loll
anyway I did get round the problem for upstairs I used a scart to RF Converter :D
RE: LG RC1000 VCR and DVD Recorder Combi Problems
Likewise I am impressed with the promised specification of the unit. Only had it a couple of days and like yourself I do no wish to use the scart for viewing as I have another TV connected to the RF lesd. My current configuration does not follow the normal pattern but has been working with another Video/DVD combination.
Have you been able to find a fix.
RE: LG RC1000 VCR and DVD Recorder Combi Problems
I am confused about your reply. Usually it is possble to tune a TV to a channel the recorder passes on to the RF output, that is the recorder acts like another TV Channel, I believe it use to be around Ch37. Thus the local TV set can be tuned into video channel while the other TV set just picks up the necessary channel require from the RF loop theough.
That is the output from the video recorder not passes on the reception from the aerial but adds an addition channel to the RF output. Thus any subsequent TV can tune into any channel on the RF output of the recorder.
I believe this has been the case since video recorders were introduced.
