Hi,has anyone discovered a hack for this machine yet? I have scoured the net for 6 months and still haven`t had any success. Can anyone HELP? It would be much appreciated. Thanks,

If its not on this site it may be only chippable and it would be best to shop around for a rce compatable mod chip or if it becomes a costly affair sell it and get a aiwa 370 (remote modable) but macro cant be disabled but i have had no problems as i have a svhs jvc video and the macrovision doesnt touch it....baz

I`m in the same boat mate, I find it difficult to believe that both the Aiwa 170 and 370 have Multi region codes yet the 290 does not. I have searched the net & it`s as if the 290 never existed!?!
