Following some very helpful tips in a recent post of mine, I have decided to focus on the Pioneer range of DVD HDD combi's Any tips on which one. I have an analogue video recorder with S video out, and want to copy my Hi 8 tapes onto DVD. I'm sure 80GB will be sufficient, I notice that the 420 doesn't have an i. link but I think this relates to digital cameras? Apart for the i.Link, larger HDD and the cost, all 3 machines appear to be the same. I suppose my question is, will the cheaper 420 be sufficient for my needs.

i-Link is for digital camcorders. The 420 should give you all you need. And Richer Sounds offer it MR for £299 (or £269) The 520 adds i-link The 720 adds i-link and is 160Gb The 920 is in another league and reflects that in its near £1000 pricetag
