Panasonic Multi Regional Recorder?

athos (Harmless) posted this on Monday, 7th February 2005, 02:03

I am in the States at moment, so have bought a few DVDs as you do, my player at home is multi-regional and has been great over the years. Now its gone tits up big time, so now is the time to ditch the VCR as well. I was looking at the site and someone recommended a Panasonic recorder that is also multi regional, nice price and the dogs doodars I think they were saying. Do you think I can find the thread! Anyone direct me to which one it could of been?

Thanks Athos

The Panasonics AREN`T region free out of the box, they need a special handset to hack them - some places hire them out for about 20 quid, I believe.

sorry to jump in you guys. i was wondering whether any of you know if there are any MULTI-SYSTEM recorders (tuner compatible with PAL B/G in particular). i couldn`t find any panny. how about sony or pioneer.

irrespective of the above, pioneer 420H any good?

as far as the multiregion, i found a site which sells a cd for that purpose for 10pounds. dont remember it though. i`ll do a search and let you know.
