Page 1 of Recording From Freeview

Trying to choose between a Panasonic E55 and Sony GX-300, but worried about ease of set-up and use.

Hoping to be able to record direct from Freeview box - do current users find it possible to scan in the Freeview channels along with the analogue ones for easy timer recording?

Have of course asked retailers, but general reply is "Dunno, try it and see" :/

On my set top box and yamada 8000 i have too set the set top boxes timer then set the yamada to record using its timer and from only the scart .And it works very well.I cant see the video + being passed on .
