Unholy Subtitles... (LG3000)

Hey there!

Okay, for some reason my Logix 3000 DVD player has managed to acquire some sort of `subtitle fetish` - meaning that every time I turn in and slap in a disc, it always displays english subtitles. This is mildly irritating when you can turn them off (all that muscle burning extra effort, y`know), and enough to rupture arteries when you can`t. Road Trip - couldn`t turn the damn things off, even though I should have been able to through the Menu.

I`ve been to setup several billion times (or so) and they`re definitely supposed to be off, yet they continue to taunt me mercilessly by turning the buggers on as soon as the machine boots up a DVD. Has anyone had this problem and been able to fix it? If so, give me the answer and I`ll be indebted to you forever!

Hmm. Thanks in advance!

The same thing happens with the Bush 2004 and I think the Limit JDV300A as well.
And as far as I can tell, I`m afraid it`s just something you`re going to have to live with! At the moment there doesn`t seem to be anyway of solving it.
