Hardware Forum
Hi
I have just got a loan of a panasonic mini dv camcorder (NS-DV60) to film my little boy`s birthday. I put the footage into the computer and done a wee edit for his grandparents. . . and us!!
Problem is I cant get the footage back into the camera, turns out it`s only dv out not dv in. Is there any way to bypass this by some sort of hack or something. Pretty frustrating (although I cant really moan as a friend was good enough to loan me) as they haven`t stepped out of the 20th century yet and are stil kicking about with VHs!!
Any help gratefully received
Cheers
J

Nope, none nada forget it!
There were some peeps on Ebay flogging an apparent converter, but I couldn`t see for the life of me how it would work. DV out has no input, so how it could run it back in was beyond me!
However, why not burn your nice new edited film onto CDR/DVDR dependant on size?
then use a compatible playback DVD player wired to the VHS to record it. There`s no macro or CGMS etc. problems because you`d have to add them to the recording yourself!
