Whats the best way to wire up kit?

Hi what is the best way to cable up so much kit?
I have dvd recorder,vcr,sat,tv. my problem is all works well apart from I cannot record tv and then watch sat? it will not pass sat though to TV.
RF gos to dvd and vcr then up to tv.
21pin scart from sat to dvd
21pin scart from sat vcr
21 pin scart from dvd to tv.
I am sure my problem is in the way I have cable it up.
any help folks!!!!!!!

Assuming 2 Scart sockets on TV & IMHO

RF to VCR then up to tv (If you must)
21pin scart from SAT to TV
21pin scart from SAT to DVDR (why would you want to record to tape)
21 pin scart from DVDR to TV.

Then you can watch the output of either DVD or Sky.

Use VCR for recording RF & playback of legacy material alternatively use component leads to feed in\out of DVDR or TV when required.
